Former UCSC creative writing lecturer is a prizewinner in this year’s poetry contest sponsored by Finishing Line Press, which will publish his chapbook, World News, Local Weather. The release date is November 22 (in time for the holidays), and the price is $12, plus shipping.
As the title suggests, some of these poems step into public/political airspace, and others enter more intimate micro-climates. They share in common the impulse to bear witness to love in the presence of death. He heartily invites you to order one or more copies.
